Terrorist organizations have attempted to use Islam to legitimize their cause. Understanding the power of legitimacy and the contradictions between the ideologies that fuel these terrorist organizations and Islam will lead us to defeat them. Delegitimization of terrorist ideologies is critical. Above all, Islam is a sacred religion that should not be exploited for any political gain.
