Join Emerald Project to hear perspectives from a diverse group of hijabi women. Enjoy the opportunity to ask
questions and have conversations with community experts on navigating complex dynamics in the K-12 classroom.
Take part in a STEM activity exploring forces and the science and engineering practice of communicating information. Walk away with strategies to promote teacher mental health in the face of competing pressures while creating a comfortable, inclusive space for students from diverse communities.
It’s Electric!
Come together with fellow teachers, NHMU educators, and Emerald Project to connect, discuss, and problem-solve common experiences faced by teachers in today’s shifting education landscape. Gain a deeper understanding of Islam and the Muslim student experience in the K-12 classroom. Leave with tools to find common ground with stakeholders on charged topics. Join NHMU educators for an electrifying STEM design challenge using paper circuits and group worthy tasks.
