About: Emerald Project’s Slam the Islamophobia is an annual event that empowers the Muslim community through creative expression, offering a safe and supportive space for individuals to share their stories, experiences, and talents. Now entering its fifth year, the program has become a cornerstone of Salt Lake City’s arts and culture scene—fostering belonging, creativity, and connection.

Through rhythm, verse, and voice, performers explore themes of identity, faith, resistance, and joy—offering moments of both challenge and celebration. The event is open to all: whether you come to perform or showcase your art, cheer on our performers, or simply enjoy the show, you are welcome here.
